Homemade Muesli

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day - and if you've ever been on retreat with me, you know I second that idea! My homemade muesli recipe is a great way to start the day, It's full of our Air Element ingredients, as well as packed with flavour. 

Prep Time: 1 hour
​Cook Time: 10 minutes
​Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 5 dates
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup sultanas
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 3 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  1. Let the almonds, cashews and dates soak in water for an hour
  2. Heat the oven to 180 degrees
  3. Remove from the water when soaked, and mix with the coconut oil and sultanas
  4. Whizz these wet ingredients into a paste
  5. Mix together the coconut, seeds and cinnamon
  6. Mix the wet and the dry mixes together well, then spread across a baking tray  Place in the oven until cooked to your liking.
  7. Enjoy with soy milk, or any milk of your choice!
pssst...if you are a little hungry after our morning practice, enjoy a little fruit salad of blueberries, pears, raspberries and grape to keep you going. Trust me, this muesli is worth the wait.
